But looking back I see that I have managed to have a little fun this fall so I'd like to try and focus on that...
- We've had several houseguests at Casa de Godsey (Jennifer, Jevon and Missy, Julia...not all at the same time). I'm so glad our friends and family feel comfortable enough at our house to want to stay here when they are in town (even if its not really to visit us, per say).
- I visited Red Butte Garden for the very first time when Jevon and Missy were in town and was impressed. I got tons of ideas for the garden that I will try and implement next spring.
- I made homemade bread for the first time ever without a bread machine!! Something about the whole rising/kneading process had me very intimidated but Libby gave me a recipe that seemed do-able, and it was AWESOME. We ate almost a whole loaf of French bread with our soup that night, and the other one we made into French toast the next morning. AMAZING. And yes, the only photo I have of any of these events is a picture of the bread. Typical.
- Feeling baby kick all the time and loving it!! Especially when I'm having a pretty rough day it makes it all worthwhile when I lay down and baby comforts me with a few loving kicks in the gut. :)
- Maryanne and I visited H&M a few days after opening their first Utah store. The mall was jam packed and we had to wait 5 or 10 minutes just to get into the store but it was actually nice letting myself get swept up in the hype and I found a few good items for my wardrobe (and baby's). :)
- Kelsey and I got pastries and pedicures one Saturday morning and it really hit the spot. Sometimes you just need some girl time to start the weekend off right!
- Kali came to town and we spent a day crafting it up. I helped her pick out some fabric for a baby quilt she's making us, and I got caught up in it too and ended up buying some fabric to make my own burp cloths. Can't wait to see how it all turns out!
- Hosted the Dinoround at our house with a "copycat" theme. I made Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana, and breadsticks. Mel made PF Chang Lettuce Wraps, and Libby made homemade Oreos. As always, we chatted late into the night and I was able to pick Libby's brain on some of my lingering baby/pregnancy questions. So nice to have a friend whose already done it all and whose opinion I trust!
- Last week we made the annual Thanksgiving journey to Washington. It was soooo nice getting a few days to relax and hang out with family and friends up there. I believe it rained for all but about 10 minutes of our 5 day trip, but it was so cozy and festive feeling. Port Orchard really feels like another world compared to Salt Lake, which is kind of fun because its really just a short trip away! Anyway, more on that later as I'm dedicating a whole post to the trip.
- Today Chris & Becca had us over for brunch and it was sooo tasty. She made an egg/potato/cheese casserole that was very light and fluffy, and she also made these amazingly decadent croissant french toast numbers that were filled with nutella, banana, and cream cheese. Umm YEAH!! Can you tell my appetite is back in full force?? I'm thinking that being in your third trimester right during holiday season might be a bad combination...

Did you know that you can make fabulous french toast from croissants? It is great to make with day old croissants from the store. It turns out deliciously.
