I've decided that haiku's are one of my favorite things. And so, a haiku to sum up the weekend.
Why so many weeds?
Summer is finally here!
Let's go have some fun.
Its been a great weekend. Andy's bro and fam are in town for a few days so we've had fun spending time with them and hanging out around town. One of Byron's "must-do's" was In and Out Burger. I'd only eaten there once before, in California, and to be quite honest I'm not quite sure what the big deal is. But it was a fun time, nonetheless. Afterward I convinced Bridget to help me pull some weeds and get some plants in the ground. My garden is out of control!
Saturday morning we got to hang out with Bridget for a few hours and we took her to opening day of the Downtown SLC Farmer's Market. We got balloon animals, played at the playground, ate a yummy lunch, picked up some "take and bake" empanadas for later, and did a little hula hooping. A very good time. Then, back to the weeds...
Today, I finally managed to whip out the camera for a hike with Byron, Andy, and the dogs. We all took a turn on the rope swing we found....
The dogs pretty much had the time of their lives. There were so many dogs on the trail and plenty of adventure to be had...
Even Mei Mei got in on the action...
Once we got home it was time for a doggie bath, followed immediately by a roll in the grass.
And then...the moment we've all been waiting for...we took the top off of the Jeep for the summer! I'm pushing for taking the doors off too, but Andy isn't convinced. Hopefully we'll have some good adventuring in the next couple of months!!
The dogs were ready to take her for a spin...so we grabbed some fro yo at the Shop n Go and cruised around up near Emigration Canyon.
I usually only allow Andy to get Pizza Hut on his birthday, but I made an exception because his brother was in town and they were having cravings for stuffed crust (gross!!). I am such a good wife.
Bridget demanded to eat hers on her brand new Strawberry Shortcake tray.
And that brings us to now! The weekend is almost over but from what I hear we may still have a park outing yet to come, and maybe some grocery shopping for me (which is of course, one of my favorite places in the world). The fun continues!!
